Fire Alarm Systems
A fire alarm system is an electronic mode of detecting smoke or heat in an enclosed/partially enclosed area of a building, using optical smoke / heat sensors. There are two modes of detection; they are the conventional method and the addressable method. The Analogue Addressable system indicates the exact location of the fire or incident whereas the conventional system displays the general area to be searched for.
A Main Control Panel is used to display the location of the fire. In the case of the addressable system it has an LCD screen where all events are stored and easily readable by the user where as the conventional system are shown by indicators. The control panel also has an in built power supply unit is able to maintain power in case of a power failure for a period of 7 hours.
